I might be bragging but I was 4-0 last week predicting two upsets.
SEC Game of the Week
LSU vs Florida in the Swamp ESPN 8 pm ET. LSU is undefeated and had two weeks to prepare for this rivalry game. Florida has not been playing great the last two weeks but should be ready for the Tigers.
Urban Meyer does not lose at home much and cannot lose another game this early in the season. Both offenses average around 35 points per game and have a number of playmakers. We believe Florida is hungrier and gives them the edge. We are looking for another shoot-out in this year’s game. We like Florida 31-28.
SEC East Rivalry
Tennessee vs Georgia CBS Sports 3:30 pm ET. The last two years, the Vols have put an old fashioned whooping on the Bulldogs. In 06, it was 51-33. In 07, 35-14. Last year, people were saying Phillip Fulmer must win to keep his job.
This year, the Vols come in to Athens with a 2-3 record and two SEC losses. Fulmer once again needs this win badly. The Vols are still looking for leadership at quarterback and a way to get the offense scoring some points. Georgia is coming off a beat down from Alabama but has had two weeks to prepare for this SEC East fight. Knowshon Moreno is back and Matt Stafford is healthy. We like the Dawgs in this one 24-10.
Second Tier SEC East Rivalry
South Carolina at Kentucky Raycom Sports 12:30 pm ET. Kentucky played well in Tuscaloosa against Alabama last week. South Carolina beat Ole Miss in Oxford and finally got their offense going. USC QB Chris Smelley threw for over 300 yards and found some confidence in some receivers.
The Kentucky line is still bruised up from Alabama and could have some troubles. We’re going for an upset in this game. We like the Gamecocks in a close one 24-21.
SEC East-West Game
Vandy at Miss State pay per view 2:30 pm ET. Miss State gave LSU and Auburn fits but has not walked away with an SEC victory. Vandy has been giving teams upsets and is 5-0.
Vandy is considered the underdog in this game but we believe winning brings confidence which allows teams to win on the road. Here is another upset. We like Vandy 24-14.
SEC West
Arkansas vs Auburn pay per view 5:00 pm ET. Coach Tuberville fired his offensive coordinator this week because of lack of productivity. Arkansas has had productivity problems all season and that will continue against this brutal Auburn defense.
The odds makers have Auburn favored by 18 points. We believe the Auburn offense will continue in a state of mild confusion. However, we like Auburn in another close one 10-7.
